Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This policy explains what Fractionax collects about you, why, who else sees it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain words. If anything is unclear, write to us.
The short version
- You sign in with an email address or a Google account. The sign-in service, Privy, holds that account. Our own systems keep an account identifier, not your email address. The exception is a form you fill in on the site, described below.
- We store what you do in the app: your investing goals, your simulated portfolio and trades, and your conversations with the assistant.
- If you join the Pro waitlist or write to us through a form on the site, we store what you send, including your email address, so we can reply. You do not need an account to do this.
- What you type to the assistant is sent to an AI provider, Anthropic, so it can answer.
- We use analytics only if you say yes, and we run no advertising.
- We do not sell your personal data.
Who we are
Fractionax ("we", "us") runs the Fractionax website and platform. You can reach us at the address at the end of this page.
What we collect
Account. You sign in through Privy with an email address or a Google account. Privy creates your account and an Ethereum wallet and a Solana wallet for it. We receive an account identifier from Privy, and the app shows you your own email and wallet addresses. We do not store your email address in our own database.
What you tell us. This is what you give the assistant and the app:
- Your investing goals, called a mandate: your objective, how long you plan to invest, how much risk you accept, limits on the size of any holding, sector or fall in value, your starting amount, assets you want to avoid, and any notes you add.
- Your risk profile: your answers to the risk questionnaire, which ask about how you feel about losing money, how long you can wait, how steady your income is, how much you have saved and what you may need to spend, and the level and limits worked out from them. Earlier answers are kept so you can see how your profile has changed, until you delete them. We also keep where you stopped in an unfinished questionnaire, and when you chose "maybe later", so they follow you to another device. You can download all of this, or delete it, in Settings under Risk profile.
- Your simulated portfolio: its positions and the paper trades you confirm.
- Your conversations with the assistant, kept exactly as they were sent and answered.
- Your watchlist, chosen display settings and your cookie choices, which are kept in your browser.
What you send us. If you join the Pro waitlist, ask about Fractionax for teams or write to us, we keep what you type in the form: your email address, your name and organisation if you give them, your message, the page you sent it from, your language and the time. You do not need an account to send one, and we do not link it to one. To limit repeated sends we also keep a scrambled version of your network address, from which the address itself cannot be read back. If you join the waitlist, we keep that you agreed to be emailed about Pro and when.
Real trading. If you use it, we also keep the address of the wallet you trade from, the confirmation you gave and the time, your trade limits, and a record of each trade with its quote, the checks run, the transaction signature and the price you got. If you connect a wallet of your own, Privy links its address to your account.
A blockchain is public. Transactions you make in real trading mode, and your wallet's balances, can be seen by anyone, and they cannot be changed or deleted by us or by you.
Technical data. Like most sites, the servers that deliver Fractionax keep ordinary request logs, such as the time of a request, the page asked for and the network address it came from. We use them to keep the service secure and working.
Analytics. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as the pages you view. If you do not accept, we do not turn it on.
How we use it
- To let you sign in and keep your account safe.
- To run the assistant, show your simulated portfolio and remember your goals.
- To reply to what you send us, and to tell you when Pro opens if you joined the waitlist.
- To keep the service secure, find faults and prevent misuse.
- To understand how the site is used, only if you accept analytics.
- To meet legal obligations and answer valid requests from authorities.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising, and the site runs no advertising tags.
Why the law lets us use it
Where the law asks for a reason, we rely on these:
- To provide what you asked for, such as your account, the assistant and your portfolio.
- Our legitimate interest in answering you, and in telling you about Pro, when you write to us or join the waitlist.
- Your consent, for analytics. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working.
- Legal obligations.
Cookies and browser storage
Some of these are essential and some are choices you make. We do not set analytics cookies unless you accept them.
- Sign-in session. Privy keeps cookies that keep you signed in. They are essential.
- Asset view. A cookie remembers whether you prefer the simple or the detailed view of an asset.
- Theme, watchlist, chart style and your cookie choices. These are stored in your browser's local storage and are not sent to us.
- Analytics. Google Analytics may set cookies, only if you accept analytics. Until you accept, its code is not loaded on the page at all.
How long we keep it
We keep your mandate, simulated portfolio and conversations for as long as your account is open. You can ask us to delete them at any time. We keep technical logs only as long as we need them for security and fault-finding. We may keep some records longer where the law requires it.
We keep waitlist sign-ups until Pro has opened and you have been told, and other messages for as long as we need them to reply and follow up. Only people on our team who need to answer you can read them, and we use the address you gave only for that. You can ask us to delete what you sent at any time. Assistant chats are kept as the most recent ones only: 10 on Practice and 50 on Pro. Starting a new chat removes the oldest once you are at your limit, and all of your chats are deleted if you do not use the assistant for 3 months. You can also delete a chat at any time, which removes it at once, together with the working copy kept on our server.
Records of real trades are kept while your account is open, because they are a record of money you moved. What is on the blockchain is permanent.
Moving data between countries
The companies above may process data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you and get a copy,
- have wrong data corrected,
- have your data deleted,
- object to some uses of it, or ask us to limit them,
- move your data to another service,
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what happened before you did,
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these, write to us. We may need to confirm it is really you first.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. For example, the assistant only reads and writes the data belonging to the signed-in account. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that data will never be accessed or lost.
Children
Fractionax is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when what we do changes, and change the date at the top. If a change matters to you, such as a new use of your data, we will tell you in the app.
Questions
If you have a question about this page, or want to use any of the choices it describes, write to us at hello@fractionax.app.
