Cookie Policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

This page lists the cookies and similar storage Fractionax uses, what each is for, and how you can control them. Fractionax sets only the cookies it needs, and Google Analytics only if you say yes.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. Websites also use other storage in your browser, called local storage, for the same sort of purpose. We call both "cookies" on this page unless it matters which.

Some are essential: the site does not work properly without them. Others are optional, and we only use them if you agree.

Essential cookies

These keep you signed in and remember your settings. You cannot switch them off in our cookie choices, but you can block them in your browser, and parts of the site will then stop working.

  • privy-token and privy-session. Set by Privy, our sign-in provider, to keep you signed in and to let our servers know which account a request comes from. Kept while you are signed in. Privy may also keep sign-in details in your browser's local storage.
  • asset-view. Set by Fractionax when you switch between the simple and the detailed view of an asset, so the page opens the way you left it. Kept for one year.
  • theme. Kept in your browser's local storage, it remembers whether you chose the light or the dark display. It stays until you clear your browser data.
  • fractionax:watchlist and fractionax:chart-view. Kept in your browser's local storage, they remember the assets you watch and whether you prefer line or candle charts. They are not sent to us and stay until you clear your browser data.
  • fractionax.consent. Kept in your browser's local storage, it records your cookie choices and the time you made them, so we do not ask you again on every visit. It stays until you clear your browser data or change your choice.

Analytics cookies

These are off unless you accept them. Until you do, the Google Analytics code is not loaded on the page at all, so nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookie is set.

  • _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier. Set by Google Analytics to tell visitors apart and to count visits and page views. Kept for up to two years.

Your choices

When you first visit, a notice at the bottom of the page asks whether you accept analytics. "Accept analytics" and "Only essential" are side by side and work the same way, and you can use "Choose" to set it yourself.

You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page. If you turn analytics off after having accepted it, we stop measuring straight away and remove the analytics cookies we can.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop you from signing in.

More information

The Privacy Policy explains what we do with personal data, including data that comes from analytics. We will update this page when the cookies we use change, and change the date at the top.

If you have a question about this page, or want to use any of the choices it describes, write to us at hello@fractionax.app.
